Breaking The News || Indra and Arcturus

arcturusblack:

Arcturus wished that they could just stay there together for a long time, forgetting about the rest of the world around them. He didn’t want her to leave because he was was scared that if she did, it would really be the end. He really could not imagine being without her each day, waking up to another woman that he did not love in the bed next to him. He gave a short sigh, blocking those depressing thoughts out. She was there now and he was going to make the most of the time that they had together. There was a smile that he could not remove from his face no matter how much he tried and it only made it more impossible when she rested her face against his chest once again. It made everything feel right again.

Arcturus gave a small chuckle but did not say anything, he just gave a small nod, wondering to himself whether or not she would actually feel it. He realised that whatever she wanted to tell him must have been important enough to bring her to his room, especially after the way that their meeting had gone the other evening but that did not matter. It wasn’t as though he did not want to hear what she had to say but he was worried that whatever it was would pull them apart again. However, she has said that it was not urgent and that made him relieved once more. He gave a short sigh, running his fingers across her hair lightly. He had missed her.

His eyebrows drew together when she apologised. He could feel her lips against his collarbone and he used his index finger to draw her chin up so that she was looking at him. “Please, do not apologise.” He said sternly. “The fault was entirely mine, if I could redo it all again, my actions would be so entirely different.” He added, emotion clear in his voice. Before she had the chance to speak and try to apologise again, he touched his lips to hers, softly to begin but then more passionately.

Indra drew her eyebrows together slightly as he lifted her chin, shaking her head. “I am at fault. I am the monster, Arc-” She found her words stopped by his lips, and simply clung to him, her lips softly moving against his until passion overcame her. She understood that what they were doing was incredibly risky - but hadn’t they always taken risks like this? Now, she welcomed the risk, after all the shame of being found to be impure would be nothing compared to the shame upon her family if she was discovered to be a werewolf. The fact she was impure would come out in a few months anyway, as soon as her stomach started to swell with his child inside her womb.

Her fingers traced the muscles of his arms for a few moments before she broke their lips apart once more, though they were only apart by a few centimetres. “Arcturus…for just one night…let’s be us again. No monster, just us..” She proposed quietly, her heart thrumming wildly in her chest. He could easily turn her down, send her back home as a woman scorned - after all, it wouldn’t be the first time. He may have insisted that he would have acted differently, but his initial reaction to her showed what he really thought. He could easily turn her away, break her heart for good and leave her in the dust, walking off with another beautiful pureblood upon his arm. If he said no, her news would stay hidden. She would take a potion, and the baby would be gone.

But if he said yes, things could change again, perhaps for the better. Perhaps the monster inside her would hide its head again. She captured his lips once more, her fingers curling at the nape of his neck as she kissed him with all she had, slightly fearful of moving her hands anywhere else in case he turned her down. It did scare her, how much power Arcturus had over her, and not just because he was male and she was a lowly female. But because he held her heart in his hands, and he could easily crush it to dust. She needed him, to keep the monster hidden, to keep her life together.

All of the negative thoughts that had flooded Arcturus’ mind just moments ago left as soon as she began to return his kiss once more. All that he could think about was the fact that she was there with him, not turning him away or reminding him of the horrible decisions that he had made. No, this made him think of the time before all of those things had been said and all that he could think about was that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, no matter what. He couldn’t spend his life with anybody else, she was the only person that truly knew him. Others thought that they knew him but they only knew the side of him that he had to show to everybody else in order to fit in with the Black name. Phineas had been the closest person to finding out that other side of him but nobody knew him like Indra did. Nobody.

It took Arcturus a little while to realise what it was that Indra was saying. His eyebrows knit together in confusion, trying to understand why. She had after all hated him for what he had done to her and that much had been made obvious when they had been together only nights ago. He was quiet for a while but then he spoke, trying to make sense of the situation. “You mean-” he broke off. There was nothing that he could say to her suggestion and so he simply kissed her instead. He could feel her fingers tracing his arm and it caused goosebumps to arise on his skin. He couldn’t get rid of the image of the unsure and worried expression that had been on her face and he could see that she was still completely afraid that he would reject her. He pulled away once more, looking at her.

"Please Indra, do not be afraid of me making the same decisions, I can promise you that that will never happen again." He told her quietly. "I love you, Indra, and I just don’t care about anything else anymore." He sighed, realising as he spoke the words that he meant them completely. There was nothing that he would not give in order to be with her and he knew that he needed to prove that to her. How could she trust him? He had turned her away after she had completely opened up to him and he knew that that was something that he would never be able to come back from properly. He gave us a small nod. "Let us be us again. Not just tonight, but for the rest of our lives." He returned his lips to hers once more and forgot about the rest of the world around them,

Breaking The News || Indra and Arcturus

Their close proximity was somewhat distressing to the young woman, as she knew that it would tear her apart when she had to leave. She didn’t want to leave him again, to remember that he was no longer hers to have. She didn’t want to end up sitting in front of her window reading his letter again, as she had taken to doing. She wanted to hear him say it, out loud, every night. She just wanted him. She slowly shook her head, choosing to rest her head against his chest again after returning his gentle kiss. Her heart was thrumming quickly within her chest, and Indra was certain that it wasn’t normal for it to do so.

Closing her eyes, Indra simply clung to Arcturus, wishing she could forget that dreadful night. “It is not urgent, Arc.” She murmured lowly, not wishing to ruin the moment with her distressing news. She was just content being so close to her love, knowing that it was perhaps the last time she would ever get to be with him like this. he would soon have a bride, and she would be, at best, a mistress. She didn’t want to be reduced to that, but it would be the best thing she could get from now on. Not that she believed he would take her as a mistress, but it would be the only way they could be together in such a way when his father gave him a bride.

With her eyes still firmly closed, Indra brushed her lips lightly across his collarbone. “I am so sorry,” She mumbled, almost inaudibly. She was truly sorry, it was her fault after all. She was the monster, the animal, not him.

Arcturus wished that they could just stay there together for a long time, forgetting about the rest of the world around them. He didn’t want her to leave because he was was scared that if she did, it would really be the end. Breaking The News || Indra and Arcturus

She felt content for the first time in months, she felt that she was where she belonged. Home was where the heart lies, and she felt as if she were at home with Arcturus. When he placed his fingers on top of her arm, she practically melted. This was what she wanted for her life - Arcturus, every day and every night. But it couldn’t be. The fact his wedding ring hung around her neck, instead of being on her finger, was proof of that dreadful truth. She didn’t have a protest as he drew her closer, instead she just let herself drift amongst good thoughts for a while. Her problems were gone, for a little while, and all there was left was Arcturus.

Eventually, she pulled her lips away from his, knowing that if they did not stop it would go much further, but did not move away as her arms rested around his neck comfortably. The prospect of ruining the moment by announcing her news was not appealing to the girl, so instead she simply stood silently, resting her head against her former fiancé’s chest. “Oh, how I have missed you so,” she murmured quietly, her eyes closing for a moment. Perhaps she could avoid telling him her news, perhaps she could simply sin and tell him that she had missed him so dreadfully that she just had to see him. It would do nothing to rectify the situation.

After contemplating this, she lifted her head again to capture her love’s lips once more but not before murmuring “I have something to tell you.”

Arcturus was more relaxed when she pulled away from him this time, he could sense that she wanted it just as little as he did. He looked down at her and he could not help but smile. She was here, she was real. He was looking at the same eyes that he had seen in his dream but they were much different. How could have ever seen her as the animal? Yes, it was a part of her but it was a part of her that was entirely separate this person that was standing in front of him. He gave a small sigh, please that she had kept her arms around his neck. He still his hands wrapped around her waist and they stayed like this for a while, perfectly content just to be next to one another.

He burned strongly again when she rested her head against his chest, something that she had done so often when they had been together before. The fact that he was still bare chested made it all the more personal. The words that tumbled out of his mouth reassured him that she wanted to be there with him, not in some pity for him. He rested his face at the top of her head, simply taking in the scent of her so close to him. He never wanted to change it. Only when she spoke did he realise that she had obviously come to see him for a reason, it had been his moves that had been entirely spontaneous.

He moved his head as she looked up at him once more and he returned the soft kiss that she gave him. If he could forget about the last few weeks and all that had happened, he could imagine that they were still engaged and that she had come so that they could arrange their wedding. He was snapped out of his small fantasy when she spoke once more. He gave a smile. “Please, tell me.” He said softly, kissing her once again.

Breaking The News || Indra and Arcturus

As her eyes continued to roam his rather boring ceiling, Indra seemed to block out the sounds of him bumbling around his bedroom. Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t hear him coming towards her and therefore feeling his lips upon hers was a true shock - but not a completely unpleasant one. The emptiness in her chest seemed to lessen for just a few seconds, though her heart seemed to tighten considerably. Her hands came to rest upon his shoulders, as if to push him away, but all she did was curl her fingers loosely into a fist. The desperation that exploded within her pushed all thoughts of explaining her appearance to him out of her mind.

And then he was gone. The sadness that surely took over her expression as they parted again showed clearly, but she cracked a small smile in return to his words. “I am thankful that I am here too, Arc,” She contemplated saying that he most certainly would not be thankful that she was here once she told him of her news, but in the end decided against it. There was a second of silence, before she stepped forward again, her arms around his neck before she could think about the aftermath of her actions. Without a single thought, she connected their lips again, simply revelling in him.

She didn’t dare think of how she would feel once she returned home, back to her bed, knowing that Arcturus would re-marry soon and she would soon be forgotten. She would have to watch on the sidelines as he slipped the wedding ring onto his brides finger, she would have to read the stories in the papers about it for weeks; and all the while knowing that it was her own fault it had happened. She didn’t think of those things, instead pouring her soul into the kiss she currently shared with Arcturus, portraying her sadness, her loneliness and her longing all at once.

When Arcturus broke away from their embrace to look at her, he could see the small sad smile on her face and for one horrible moment, he thought that that was it. She was truly gone. He heard her quiet words break through the silence once more and he felt even worse. He prepared himself for what was coming next, her to tell him that she really was never coming back, something that was even worse that his horrid nightmare. He kept close to her, not wanting her to move away but he felt her go anyway. He wished that he could cling to her and prevent her from leaving but he knew that it would do him no good. He waited to hear the crack that would tell him that she was gone but it never came. He certainly was not expecting what came next.

He felt as though his body had been set on fire, it had been different when he had kissed her, although he had not planned it, he had been slightly in control of his own actions. This was entirely different to what he had been expecting. He felts circles of heat where her fingers touched his bare skin and in that moment, he knew that he could never love another. He realised with a shock that he had not truly realised how much he had missed he until she was here with him, he had simply felt empty before and it shocked him at how much he really felt now. He certainly didn’t need to be persuaded. He raised his hand to the arm that she had drawn around his neck and he simply put his fingers to it, feeling her warm skin under his.

He did not want to stop, he knew that if they continued much longer then it would be impossible for him to stop. But he did not care. This was Indra. Indra. How did he ever think that he would be able to live without her? He had never looked at another girl ever since he had met her and that had been at Hogwarts. How could he possibly think of doing that now? He used his other arm to draw her closer to him, hoping that she would not be angry with him for doing so. “Indra." He murmured, not really thinking at all, just that as long as she stayed as close to him as he was now, then things could not be all that bad.

Breaking The News || Indra and Arcturus

Indra finally took in Arcturus’s appearance with a certain degree of shock, her lips parting slightly in surprise. There had been certain things she had been expecting - Arcturus with a woman perhaps, after all, he’d never seemed to care about the no sex before marriage social rule - but him alone in the nude had not been a scenario she had pictured. A surprised “Oh!” fell from her lips, followed by a giggle that just added to her surprise. She hadn’t truly laughed in a while, and considering the circumstances she had come to his chambers for, it was most unexpected. She swallowed briefly, memories of the two of them blocking everything out for a moment. Them lain in bed, his arms around her, his lips on her neck whispering nothings.

Her heart felt as if it was going to explode, but all she could do was giggle. With a deep breath, however, she composed herself. “I do suggest you put some clothing on, Mr Black,” She made a brave attempt at not giggling, but eventually failed. She averted her eyes politely, choosing to look up at the ceiling instead. Her stance became more defensive again, but one of her hands raised back up to his ring again. It’s presence seemed to comfort her, even now, when she was facing one of the most terrifying things she could possibly do. She took several deep breaths, shocked at her sudden switch in moods. She knew it would only get worse though, if she let her current condition carry on.

How could she explain to Arcturus that she was pregnant? She didn’t know how to say it, how to explain the problem to him. It was far too late now, though, to change her mind and just brew a potion to remove the child from her abdomen. Now, she would have to tell Arcturus and let him partially decide what to do, now that she was here in his chambers - disturbing him while he was in the nude. At that thought, another giggle slipped from her lips, to which she covered her lips carefully with one gloved hand. “Are you clothed yet, Mr Black?” She asked after ensuring she would not laugh again.

Arcturus stared at Indra in utter bewilderment. He became even more confused when an eruption of giggles escaped her lips and it was not long before he snorted with laughter in an entirely un-gentlemanly manner. But he did not care. He could not even comprehend how happy he was to see, especially to see her in his room. Giggling. He did not want the moment to end but he could sense that it would, far too soon than it should. He looked at her as she laughed and he found that he could not take his eyes from her. She looked so much more like herself than when he had seen her the few days previously. She had smiled when they had been together but had been such a sad expression to it that it had hardly been a smile at all. This was how he remembered her.

He had become so transfixed with looking at her while she was laughing that he had forgotten the state that he was still in. He stumbled around and tripped, correcting himself and pulling on a pair of trouser that had been on the top of his dresser. They were the same style as the ones that he had slept in but at least they covered much of his body. He turned back around to face her. He took the opportunity to look at her whilst she was looking away and he could not help but notice how tired she looked. He felt an instant sadness knowing that he had probably been a factor that had caused this. He saw her reach up and hold the pendant that was hung around her neck and he realised that it was her wedding ring that he had sent to her in a letter. A sudden smile formed on his face and he was unable to stop or remove it. He moved towards her.

He did not know why he did it but he could not prevent himself from doing so. He only hoped that she would not turn him away because he felt that he would not be able to bear it if she did. He knew that he would feel an emptiness after she was gone but he did not care. She was here, now. He moved so quickly before she could even notice what he was doing and before she could stop him - he was kissing her. It was not like any kiss that he had had before. When they were young and in Hogwarts, they had been kisses of excitement and the new experience, when they had fallen in love and become engaged to one another, they had been kisses of love and tenderness, knowing that they would be content forever. This was a kiss of desperation and longing. He stepped back before she had the chance to hit him. “I’m so glad that you are here.” He whispered, never wanting this moment to end.

Breaking The News || Indra and Arcturus

indragreyback:

Indra felt dreadful. Slipping her gloves on, she looked once in the mirror before stalking across the room again. Her shoulders tensed and her expression cold, Indra was horrified that it should happen now, when he had called off the engagement. It was the worst possible time - she would be shamed. She would be disowned, and unable to keep the Greyback name. The thought was enough for her to make her want to hang her head in shame, though she kept her head held high. Her conversation with muggles would also, quite possibly, be enough to remove her from the family…but where else was she to go, when she needed confirmation from a doctor who had no idea of who she was? She simply couldn’t go to St Mungos, the shame of it all would be too much.

Though his ring rested on a thin chain around her neck, Indra didn’t want to see Arcturus about the matter. It was necessary, however, to decide what they were going to do. Certain potions existed for situations like these, but did she really want to take such drastic measures so soon? However undesirable the thought was, she had to face Arcturus again. Their last meeting had not gone too well, but, assuming he was home, now they would be alone and able to freely talk providing none of his family members walked in. She continued to stalk around the room, one hand resting lightly on her stomach as she tried to build up the courage for what she was about to do.

After finally reading his letter, Indra was ashamed at her actions towards him during their meeting in the pub. She would not admit these feelings of shame out loud, of course, but his letter had made her heart swell. The thought of hearing of his wedding to another was almost too painful for her to dwell upon, but she had so far, managed to avoid thinking of it too often. With one hand still resting upon her stomach, the other coming up to clutch his ring in a fist, she turned on the spot and disapperated - landing directly in his chambers. Feeling exceptionally dizzy, Indra took a second to compose herself before scanning the room for Arcturus. When she located him, she smiled slightly. “Good afternoon, Arc.”

The animal moved towards him quickly and the fear that spread through his body increased. This was it, this was death. He closed his eyes, bracing himself for the fatal move. But it did not come. He opened his eyes, surprised to find familiar ones staring back at him, but on the wrong body. He shivered before its jaws opened, finally lurching towards his face—

Arcturus’ eyes shot open. He blinked, trying to clear his eyes so that he could focus on the room around him in the dim light. He frowned, trying to think about what he had just seen. Was that real? It certainly felt real. He sighed, lying back onto the pillow. More often than not, the wolf prowled through his nightmares always ending in the same way. He shut his eyes but it was no use, he could not sleep now. The dreams that he was having were so vivid and real that he could not get away from them throughout the day. He sighed once more and got out of bed, his eyes adjusting to the light. Every night he woke covered in sweat and with ripped clothes and it had become so bad that he had taken to sleeping in loose fitted trousers and nothing else.

As he stood, he looked down to see that he had ripped yet another pair in the frantic movements that were caused by his writhing nightmares. He frowned and leaned his head against the wooden post around his bed and simply stood there for a moment, the dream coming back to him properly. God, he had made such a drastic mistake. He had gone back to that moment so many times in his mind and there were so many different variations that he had imagined he could change it to. He opened his eyes, trying to shut out the images of that time. There was nothing that he could do. She had not even read his letter and it showed exactly how little she cared about him now. She was finished with him.

He turned around to face his bed and removed the ripped trousers, tossing them aside onto the chair beside him. He suddenly heard the noise that signalled that somebody had appeared into his bedroom. Well, the house elf was certainly going to get a good sight, Arcturus Black naked in his bedroom. “You know-” He had been about to tell the house elf how rude it was to simply appear in his bedroom as he would not know what sight he would find when a voice split the silence in his room. Not just any voice, her voice. He spun around, not thinking about his current state of undress. “Ind-Miss Greyback.” He stuttered whilst staring at her in shock and amazement.

June 1904 | Brotherly Bonding | Phineas, Arcturus, & Sirius

Oh, Merlin.

Phineas’s eyes. Too knowing. Did he suspect? Could he see blood streaked over Sirius’s face, like a brand? Could he see the bloodlust in Sirius’s eyes?

His simple pleasures. Sirius couldn’t imagine what Phineas’s simple pleasures might be. Did he have some parade of women march through his… lodgings, whatever they might be? Sirius couldn’t help imagining. It seemed unaccountably rude to ask to see Phineas’s home, but he was curious. Was he living in squalor?

He met Phineas’s glance for a moment, though Phineas – either totally unselfconscious, or an extraordinary actor – let his glance drift away quickly.

Sirius adjusted the cuffs of his shirt, and gave a small cough. “The Boothby woman, yes. I keep hearing about those brooms,” Sirius said, hoping against hope that his face no longer betrayed whatever it had. “And your travels, yes, yes, good to travel. Precisely the sort of thing one can no longer do, when there are children…”

To his own ear, Sirius sounded flustered. Deflection, once more, he thought. He gave a bright smile, perhaps broader than usual, and nodded sharply. “I can be a terrible bore,” he said, and hoped it sounded rakish and self-deprecating. “Harassing you two about marrying. As the eldest I suppose I sometimes push too hard. And here we are, simply enjoying a glass of firewhiskey. Let us speak to more of such nonsense.”

Arcturus sat back as Phineas and Sirius began to talk amongst themselves. He felt a little confused about the conversation that they were having and so he simply did not interject with anything to add, he simply listened. He frowned as they both spoke and he realised that there were two ways that he would go in his life, he could choose not to marry as Phineas had and this would be how his spent or he could choose to marry as Sirius had. He could not understand how there was not a third option to choose, he wished that he could. He sighed inwardly, trying to unscramble his own thoughts.

Arcturus only truly snapped back into the conversation as Sirius was just finishing speaking and he suddenly felt guilty. He felt back that he had not listened properly as they had been discussing their lives, he had only been absorbed in his own. He felt colour enter his cheeks and he looked down at the drink in his hands. He took a sip and looked up at his brothers, wondering what the next topic of conversation would be amongst them. He was suddenly aware that he had not spoken in quite a long time and he looked around desperately, trying to think of something that he could say.

Time Together || Arcturus & Indra

Indra stayed silent, watching Arcturus in silence for a short period. “No, I do not wish to go home. It is truly delightful to see you again, Mr Black, and I would not wish to cut our time short. I simply wish we could have met in a more private setting, it is unfortunate that we should meet again in such a public place,” She spoke her last words in a lower voice, not low enough to be mistaken for a rude whisper, but low enough that the people around them wouldn’t be able to identify her words over the loud ruckus of the surrounding bar. To go home would be to face her mother’s fury over her latest suitor and what had happened, Indra had no desire to be there. If it meant sitting here, breaking her heart even more, shattering it into pieces that were so small that she could never be saved, she would bear it.

Reaching across the table, Indra brushed her fingers across one of Arcturus’s hands. She had missed his touch, truly missed it, but as soon as she had touched him she pulled her hand back as if she had been burnt. No, Indra, what are you doing? She had thought to herself, anger flowing through her veins. He had moved on, he had broken it off with her for reasons beyond her control. He didn’t love her any more, she was being truly pathetic. Dropping her hands back down into her lap, Indra blinked a few times before lifting her hand again to brush a stray hair from her face. “Might I be so bold as to inquire what brings you here, on a day such as this, Mr Black?” Indra asked quietly, her anxiety very obvious in the way that she held herself. Being in his presence was bringing her to an edge, and it truly displeased her.

Don’t be so foolish, Indra.

Arcturus looked up once more as Indra spoke of not wishing to have met in such a public place. He could not help but agree as it had been difficult to really discuss such private things when there were so many people surrounding her. He was a little unsure as to whether she would ever want to see him again after than evening, he knew that he had not exactly been gentlemanly to her. He felt disappointed in himself, he had told himself that if he had ever seen her again, he was going to make it clear to her that he regretted the decisions that he had made that night. However, instead he had embarrassed her in public and he had not been clear that he regretted calling off their engagement, more so that he regretted that she had been bitten. He sighed inwardly, unsure as to how he was going to fix all of it. He still could not see a way out of it and it infuriated him greatly.

He felt as though his heart was going to break through his chest when she leaned over and touched her fingers to his hand. It was such a small and delicate move, easily missed if he had not been concentrating greatly on her but she had done it. He did not know how but even just a small touch from her caused what felt like fire to flow through his veins and he wished with every ounce of his being that they could be married. He lifted his eyes to find hers but as soon as she had touched him, her hand shot back as though he had hurt  her. He frowned, concentrating on her face. He could not work out where she was and what her intentions were, one moment he felt as though he would never see her again and yet the next, he felt as though she still shared his wishes.

When she spoke, he could hear the slight element of unease in her voice and he could sense that she was not comfortable with the situation that they found themselves in. He sat back into his chair, trying to mirror her stance. “I do not know, I suppose I had nothing else to do.” He told her. “And you, Miss Greyback?” He asked, keeping his voice even. He could not stand the formality in their voices, he wished that things could be the same as they had been before. He knew her as well as the back of his own hand and yet anybody looking at them, they would suppose that they had met once or twice before, not that he was unremittingly and breathlessly in love with her. He looked at her once more, hardly able to stand the gap that was ever growing between them.

June 1904 | Reconnaissance | Phineas & Arcturus

Whereas meetings with Sirius were fun but somewhat strained, time with Arc seemed almost stress-free. Of course there was the stress associated with any meeting of Black family members—considerations of appears, of what to say—but as Arc hugged him, he felt relieved.

Perhaps this will truly be an enjoyable afternoon.

“I’ve been quite well, brother,” Phineas responded, smiling. “Shall I buy you an iced cream? Perhaps it’s a bit childish, but…” He shrugged. “Why should we always be so grown up?”

The segue was, admittedly, obvious, but as Arc seemed quite pleased to see him, he decided perhaps being direct would have the best results.

“I’ll admit I wanted to meet you to discuss you upcoming wedding, and I thought it best that we were alone, in case you had any concerns you’d care to share with your brother. Though, of course, if you want to discuss nothing of this, I understand completely.”

Arcturus stepped back from the embrace with his brother, he was, after all, truly pleased to see him. Although they had met recently when Sirius had joined them, he felt that this was the first time that he had seen him properly in a long time. Arcturus gave a small laugh before nodding to his brother’s suggestion. It was childish but he did not care. “What does that matter?” He asked with a grin on his face. There was something about spending time with Phineas that brought the younger version of himself out and he could not help but admit that he enjoyed it. He always had to be so serious around others and so he was glad to get away from it all even if it was just for a short time.

The smile on Arcturus’ face slipped when Phineas asked his question. He had known that it was going to be brought up eventually but he still could not help but dread how he was going to go about answering it. He could never give a good reason as to why his engagement had ended and it made him sad that he could not tell his own brother the truth. “It’s fine, I do not mind discussing it.” Although that was not entirely true, he had come to the stage where he expected to be asked about it. “What was it that you wanted to know exactly?” He asked him.
